<aside> ℹ️ This manual entry is temporal, there are plans to make this process built-in in the app. But in the meantime, here are the instructions on how to restore a project data backup.

</aside>

  1. Close Tabletop Creator (or at least, close the project) first.

  2. Open the project folder in the file explorer and go to the **<PROJECT>**/backups folder:

    Untitled

  3. Make sure there is a backup for the current state of the project (or make a copy yourself). [Optional] Compress a new .zip file of the **<PROJECT>**/data folder of your project folder.

  4. Delete all the files inside the **<PROJECT>**/data folder of your project folder.

  5. Select the backup .zip file you want to restore (check the date and time in the name).

  6. Unzip all the files inside the **<PROJECT>**/data folder of your project folder.

  7. Open the project again in Tabletop Creator. The project should have been successfully restored.

Troubleshooting

<aside> ⚠️ My project doesn’t load after this or all the blueprints/sets are missing!

Make sure your **<PROJECT>**/data folder looks like this:

Untitled

There should be two folders named blueprints and sets and those json files.
